Welcome to the Kansas City Symphony Guild, an auxiliary organization supporting the Kansas City Symphony. The Guild is a diverse Northland group of volunteers consisting of mothers, grandmothers, business and professional women, housewives and retirees – who have supported and promoted the Kansas City Symphony since 1971 – and continue to assist the Symphony in keeping music alive in Kansas City through the Guild’s participation.
The Guild gathers monthly to enjoy friendship, work on projects and learn what is new at the Symphony. Our committees work year round planning events for the community’s enjoyment.
On November 11, 2009, the Homes of Note Tour will feature three lovely homes in the Briarcliff area of Kansas City. These homes span the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries and are not to be missed! The Pre-Tour Party entitled “An Evening With Kriss Kringle” will be a once-in-a-lifetime event!
Our second fundraiser of the season is a much-loved Northland tradition performed by the Kansas City Symphony. The Cabaret Concert will be held on March 21, 2010 at Embassy Suites under the direction of Steven Jarvi. Festivities will include a silent auction and dinner followed by the concert.
It is my pleasure to lead the Guild during the 2009-2010 year. On behalf of all our members, I invite you to enjoy our annual Homes of Note Tour and Cabaret Concert, which will ensure keeping music alive in Kansas City through the Kansas City Symphony.
