President's Message

Welcome to the 2011-2012 season of the Kansas City Symphony Guild.  Founded in 1971 and focused in the Northland, the Symphony Guild actively supports the Kansas City Symphony through two major annual events.

The Homes of Note Tour XXXVII, “National Treasures” is November 16, 2011 and features three fabulous private homes decorated for the holidays at the National Golf Club of Kansas City in Parkville, Missouri.

The Cabaret Concert will be March 11, 2012.  Guests will experience an evening of cocktails, a silent auction and dinner followed by great music under the baton of Associate Conductor Steven Jarvi.

The Symphony Guild is honoring the 40 year founding of our organization with a special event, “A Ruby Celebration” and also celebrating the inaugural performance of the symphony in Helzberg Hall in the brand-new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  It is an exciting time to be a Symphony Guild member.

Please join us at our events and consider membership in our vibrant organization.  Contact Janell Peterson, Volunteer and Events Manager for the Kansas City Symphony at 816.218.2616 for information about becoming a member, or contact a current member of the Symphony Guild.

All the best,

Laurie Burgess, President

Kansas City Symphony Guild
